"Stelle sul Ghiaccio"
Gala in Sesto San Giovanni

Just a few days after the end of the European Championships, it was already time for me and my friends to gather again at an ice rink.. this time on the outskirts of Milan, precisely in Sesto San Giovanni, for a lovely gala organize by this city, in collaboration with a skating club in St. Petersburg (that'why we had lots of Russian guest, the most important ones being Alexei Urmanov and Maria Petrova/Alexei Tikhonov, plus several pupils of Mishin). I was soooooo looking forward this gala, not because I was really this interested in it, but because I had really missed my friends during Euros (they seem to have had a lot of fun, while I was always working and missed all the good occasions. i could see them only when they came into my office for something work related - or maybe just to check on how I was, because they could see how tired and stressed out I was, and wanted to give me a bit of moral support.. thank you, guys!) and I was happy to have a show and a lovely dinner with them to look forward to. I had been invited to the show by Franca Bianconi, one of the organizers, and so I was happy to be ushered in by her when I got to the rink. Inside, I found lots of friends from Torino... several volunteers and coordinators came from this rink, so I was happy to see them again . I still smile when I thinnk about the fact that every single one of them, upon seeing me, exclaimed: "I'm seeing you much better today!" - after a week of sleeping a bit more, a trip to the hairdressers' and carefully applied make up I surely looked healtier then my greenish grey self of the Europeans!

I actually ended up sitting away from my friends because they were all sitting on the publc side of the rink, while I had been guided in the VIP section - but even if I would have loved to sit with them and I wouldn't have minded to see everything from the wrong side, but I had brought my mum with me and I didn't wanted to spoil the show for her!

Being on the good side, I had some fun taking some pictures of the show.

Topo was our guest of honour... Fede wouldn't have allowed us to leave him at home!

of course I had brought Toponiglio for a reason.. he was gong to fly into Fede and Massi's arms as usual! I had to struggle to get out of my seat and throw him on the ice, especially since I waited for the number to be over to avoid disturbing anyone wayching it.. so I really had to hurry" But it went well, and here is Topo in Massi's arms

Silvia had a special mission tonight: to introduce Laura to her idol, Alexei Urmanov. Two photos to capture a very special moment for her!

After the show we had a little surprise in store for Fede and Massi: as I was printing all the Participation Certificates for the volunteers of the Sport section at Euros, i also did an extra one for Toponiglio... Fede and Massi laughed like crazy when they saw it! They always enjoy these little silly surprises, and we're having so much fun with them! .
