Lecco Show, Part II:

Philippe skates his Spanish Program

Fast Forward to the second half of the show (okay, I could spend a good half hour praising how Maurizio looked good in the SNF-like white suit, but I'll avoid that. If you want to check - and tell me if you agree - in the photo gallery section of their official website www.fusarpolimargaglio.com (I make it - so forgive this little bit of advertising!), in season 2001/2002 there's a link to the "Sparkassen Cup" and that's where he wore this in practice - or you can have a look at the few photos of their performance that I'm putting up too - follow the link on the bottom of the page if you haven't already been there.) Philippe came on the ice in is black suit/red shirt costume for the spanish number ( in Courmayeur I didn't notice the hat with a red pon-pon... ) and again, he was really in good condition tonight, very nice skating. He swooshed his cape on the light technicians (again, the tribunes were far from the boards), and took a girls standing among them by the hand, guided her till the opening in the boards (the nearest one was 1 meter 1/2 away) and I really hoped Silvia had gotten a nice pic of this because he gave her a quite theatrical kiss... but unfortunately it appears that it didn't turn out well - there was no such pic when she gave me her pics. Stripping down as usual he revealed again a pretty fit phisique - he's taking good care of himself! My mum was laughin like crazy while he did his little strip-tease... I am happy she really enjoyed the show (actually she loved Philippe and liked Babi and Mauri's numbers too - the rest of the show was not up to their level). For the encore he got the presenter to announce no less than a triple axel -I was a bit worried - and he actually did that (well, the landing was not perfect but he didn't fell at all) before repeating part of the number. He also greeted the audience from the microphone, in a strange mix of Italian/English/Spanish... quite cute, actually! For the finale they all appeared again, and Philippe, dressed in the pants from the spanish number and the black shirt of the opening did a wonderful back flip coming right towards me - I've always seen that move from the side, not from the front: it was really a good, impressive jump!

my overall comment? * ^_^ *

Soon they were all gone, but we ran towards the dressing rooms (but there was a quite rude lady not letting us in) and at first we mainly worried about Babi who had had a nasty fall (what a brave girl - she kept skating, and then did both the planned encore and then repeated the part of the program where she and Mauri had fallen before) and when her mum asked if we could find the team's former physical therapist, who had been at the show, we were really worried. But then she appeared smiling at us, lovely as ever, and we were really relieved. She had come out with an enormous bunch of red roses, and asked for help because people were asking her authographs, so I took all the roses... but then I realized that I had to be free of them when Philippe came out! The bunch was so big he wouldn't have even seen my face behind them!! So I immediately found someone to hold Babi's flowers instead of me - and found in my bag the envelopes I had to give him - Xrystal's message plus a little note from me too. Philippe was one of the last to come out of the dressing rooms, and was immediately stopped by a mob of fans. My friends and I are quite used at groups of crazy girls jumping on Babi and Mauri at exhibitions, and we usually let them go first, so that when they are no longer around we can chat in a bit of calm... Here it was the same, we were not afraid of missing him because apart from all of us being there waiting for him, we had also instructed Babi to stop him for us... so we were pretty relaxed about this - she's a nice girl we had no doubt about her help. After a little I managed to get next to Philippe and greeted him - I offered him my hand and quite directly said "Paola - do you remember me?" and of course he said "yes, you told me you were coming" (biiiig smile here! *^_^*) and asked me if I had liked the show - and I told him "oh, yes, of course, but what I'm looking for is to see your own show in Lausanne, do you remember I'm coming?" And he told me "yes, just remember me a few days before and I'll arrange for your passes" (yesss!) and then I gave him the letter I printed for Xrystal (I didn't forget you! I also explained him about you tryng to get in touch with him...) then I confess I was a little distracted, because gorgeous Mauri appeared right beside me and greeted me (I was looking at Philippe signing an authograph and suddendly I heard someone say "hi Paola" and turned to see Mauri ready to kiss me... how could I refuse??), so I stopped there and chatted a little with him - and only when Mauri was called away and started talking with someone else I went back looking at Philippe and realized he was asking me how many of us were coming to the show in Lausanne (to know how many passes we needed... ahhhh I love this guy)... Then arrived Barbara too, because her mom wanted to meet Philippe, and we all posed for a group pic with him... Babi's mom took several photos with all our cameras... this is mine, I hope to se the others soon!

Before leaving, I took a couple of shots of him signing authographs, and posing with other people (I zoomed on him, trying to cut away the other girls) and once he actually noticed me taking the pic and kept the pose until my camera flashed too, even if the girls' one had already done... what a nice guy! It was already quite late, so we finally said bye to all of them and went home... and I had this stupid smile on all the time while I was driving... I can't wait to be in Lausanne!!!
