Festa della Neve - 11 Oct. 2002

I do not have many memories of this show... and since I still didn't have a good camera, I just have a few pics I had been given by my friend Silvia for Barbara and Maurizio's website... I should have a lovely picture of Silvia Fontana somewhere, whith her then fiancé John Zimmerman - she skated in the show, while he was just her chaperon. Of course I would have liked to see him skate as well, but for the occasion I was happy enough just to see him. I remember a funny scene of me and my friend Melly stalking him from a distannce,while he went around the Mountain Exhibition that surrounded the rink, trying on sunglasses ...

Other notes? Well, as usual we managed to be the last ones leaving the building... we were happily chatting with Babi and the ushers basically asked us to leave because they wanted to go home.. LOL. We always end up like this, because we let all the fans pass before us to get their autographs and photos, and wait for our skaters to be free and relaxed.. and Babi is always ready for a chat!!

Yet another note.. we discovered for the first time how difficult Torino is regarding directions and maps... we got lost several times before getting to the lingotto!! ok, as I write now in october 2005, the lingotto, the palavela, toroc's offices and another ice rink are the only places that I really know how to reach, but at the time it proved to be a nightmare!! I remember Melly drivng and I looking at the map, saying "turn on the right on the next one... you can't? On the next one then... you can't? On the next one then... you still can't?? On the next one then... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!"
