Ceremony for the delivery
of the Palavela

I was the only one of my friends at this ceremony, because it was not really open to the public: just VIPs, authorities, press, 2005 agency and Toroc staff... and since I was in that period working for Toroc, I managed to be there. I had actually been worried of being left at the office while my colleagues where there (and this would have annoyed me quite a bit) but at the last moment I manage to be there, and actually ended up taking pictures not only for B&M's website, but also for some Toroc function. So, somewhere, I have photos of the lounges, the rink, etc.. but I don't really care for those. Anyway, there was a short ceremony, some speeches, then an exhibition of the short track team, and then a performance by Barbara and Maurizio. |

| At the end of the show I would have hoped to spend some time with Barbara and Mauri, Babi's husband Diego, our friend Lidia.. but my colleague marched me to lunch at the volunteers' canteen, and so I could not even say hello to B&M... I was a bit annoyed, yet again. I had brought some e-mails for Barbara from her address on the website, and I had to leave them with Lydia... I was feeling a bit homesick, and I would have really enjoyed to spend a few minutes chatting to some familiar faces! nd the worst was yet to come... se my competition report from Torino! | ||
