THE SHOW PART II

The second half of the show opened suddendly with Karel skating his second exhibition number on "L'Italiano" by Toto Cutugno... we were almost puzzled because there was no introduction, nothing, just at the end.. it was weird.
I filmed Karel because a friend wanted to see this vid... so no photos, but the video is on FSVIDS (or write to me if the link have expired)

Let's get back to the photos...

Roxana Luca:

Kovarikova/Novotny/Praga Ice Ballet:

aaaargh she's hitting her shoulder on the ice... in the head-banger you shouldn't even touch it! We're calling it the shoulder - crusher now!

Kevin Van Der Perren's "Tango de Roxanne"'s number:

The Acrobat's "No Smoking" number:

Silvia Fontana's "Summertime" program... she is soooo gorgeous... I have to admit I got a bit emotional watching this program, she was not doing many big tricks but her presence out there was just captivating...

Savchenko/Szolkowy's "Somewhere":

B&M's "Cowboys":

encore:

The finale is again among my videos on FSVIDS - had to work on this a bit, as towards the end, you see the camera move as my friend elbowed me to make me notice that John was standing next to me. So I turned (the camera turned) and looked, and then went back to the ice - at this point you might notice that the sound changes for a couple of seconds, before coming back to normal (and then I take a second look at John). In fact, I had to cut out a bit of the original sound of the vid, replacing with the correspondent bit of the song they were using, to cover the *%&£°ç** I said to my friend, telling her never to hit me while I'm filming... ooops... I didn't want to teach anyone "bad words" in Italian, LOL!

some pics after the finale:

After the usual "YMCA" danced with the public, the girls from the ballet "attacked" Alessandro partly undressing him, and someone produced a bottle of champagne and completely soaked him...
before leaving the ice, the skaters took some photos of their own...

After the show we went backstage to say goodbye to the skaters as usual, plus I had some things to deliver - some photos from Olys for Silvia, some e-mails arrived on the site for Barbara, a couple of CDs Mauri had given me in Baselga and I had to give back... At some point I jumped at the chance to help out John Z. who couldn't understand what a lady was trying to tell him in Italian, so I offered as interpreter, and when the lady left, I kep talking to him a little.. he's so sweet, his eyes light up whenever I mentioned Silvia... they're such an adorable couple! When we were getting ready to leave and I was talking to someone else, he even came up to thank me again for helping him out earlier... cuuuuute.

Before setting off for Milan we followed the cast to the upstairs bar to say hello to those we'd missed, and managed to talk a momet to Alessandro about the show we're having in October in Milan... then in the bar Babi and Silvia were praying us "be careful on the road, drive slowly please don't make us worry" (plus Babi was repeating for the 812th time that she was officially on holiday now, nad leaving for the seaside the next day.. eh ehe he she was more than happy!). We went to say hello to Mauri, who was also in a good mood and soon leaving for some holidays as well... well, it was soon time to get in the car, and go... by 3.30am we were back in Milan!
